It is a wonder that this man has ever part of an American administration. Brzezinski was Carter’s National Security Advisor. Zionists must not have known that Zbig, as he terms himself, is a honest man on the Middle East who will not bow down to the Israel lobby.

There are very few brave voices in the U.S. establishment when it comes to the Middle East. Most are worried that if they offend the Israel lobby, they will undermine their chances of getting future appointments in government or even advising presidential candidate.

But Zbig is one of those voices, he is not afraid of speaking truth to power; criticizing Israel and defending Palestinians. And unlike the other prominent establishment critic of Israel, former Secretary of State James Baker, Zbig genuinely cares about Palestinians rather than criticizing Israel solely on realpolitik terms, which are proper grounds on their own.

Recently Zbig laid the truth down on another ignorant pro-Israel zealot, Joe Scarborough of MSNBC. Zbig was invented to discuss the Israeli bombardment and was naturally bothered by the pro-Israel talking points that uncritical U.S. broadcasters always spew.

Zbig finally snapped when Scarborough said, “You cannot blame what’s going on in Israel on the Bush administration.” Zbig replyed, “You know, you have such a stunningly superficial knowledge of what went on that it’s almost embarrassing to listen to you.” That statement could be said to 95% of U.S. journalists.

During the 2006 Israel war on Lebanon when American politicians on both sides were falling over one another to praise another Israeli killing of Arabs, Zbig stood alone in criticizing Israel. He stated accurately that Israel was doing nothing more than killing hostages: “I hate to say this but I will say it. I think what the Israelis are doing today for example in Lebanon is in effect, in effect — maybe not in intent — the killing of hostages. The killing of hostages.

“Because when you kill 300 people, 400 people, who have nothing to do with the provocations Hezbollah staged, but you do it in effect deliberately by being indifferent to the scale of collateral damage, you’re killing hostages in the hope of intimidating those that you want to intimidate. And more likely than not you will not intimidate them. You’ll simply outrage them and make them into permanent enemies with the number of such enemies increasing.”

Naturally, American Zionists consistently whine about Zbig and protested Obama using him as an arms-length advisor, even when it was not clear that Obama relied on Zbig for Middle East foreign advise. But, that did not matter. American Zionists seek to sideline anyone who offers even mild criticism of Israel regardless of their ability to even remotely act on those criticisms.
