Even since Barack Obama announced during his election night victory speech that his daughters have “earned the puppy that is coming with us to the White House,” there has been an obsession in America and even in Europe with the soon-to-be White House puppy.
American journalists expected the puppy to attend the inauguration, but the Obamas have delayed the decision. That has only increased curiosity among the American public which has asked the Obamas one time after another about the dog.
During his recent trip to Europe, a French-American student herself asked Obama about the dog. Obama’s answer to her was that the dog will be arriving “soon.” And so he has.
This Sunday the White House officially announced that new dog has arrived. Here he [or her?] is:
He/Her is a 6-month-old Portuguese Water Dog named Bo.
How cute!
