The Tweets of Bahrain's Foreign MinisterThe are numerous buffoons amongst Arab regimes, but high amongst the list is Bahrain’s foreign minister Khalid al-Khalifa. Bahrain is another American client in the region - its tiny island nation plays host to the Fifth Fleet - and one that has been growing more authoritarian in recent years, America’s ‘commitment’ to democracy promotion notwithstanding. Last year, the ruling Sunni elite cracked down on the majority Shi’ites who have long been discriminated against and were campaigning for equal rights in a country where they make up the majority. Notice that the U.S. government did not criticize Bahrain’s repression, because it only feigns concern for human rights against nations it dislikes. But clients of the U.S. are given a pass and, if anything, encouraged in their repression if a democracy movement threatens that client status. The last thing America wants is democracy in the Middle East because that would see the end of its dictator puppets.

A lot more could be said in that regard and I have written elsewhere in such a manner, but this post is about the idiocy of al-Khalifa. The list is long, but I will focus on two matters.

1) He recently called for allowing Israel to join the Arab League. This is how stupid and desperate this man and the regime he represents are in seeking to win favor with Washington and its cadre of Zionist fanatics (Arab regimes believe that the path to America’s heart is through Tel Aviv). They are so keen to pander that they make not only offensive, but idiotic statements designed to please Israel. Offensive because Israel still occupies the land of three Arab countries: Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. In regards to Syria, Israel rules out ever giving back the land even in a peace treaty. Israel is building settlements in the West Bank, killing Palestinians, beating them and seeking to humiliate them daily, 1.7million are collectively starved in Gaza and the list goes on... And, yet, Bahrain wants to welcome Israel into what admittedly is an awful and ineffective union, but nonetheless it is the Arab League which still at least pay lip service to the Palestinians. But Bahrain wants Israel to take its seat next to it.

Idiotic because even if Israel were to sign peace treaties with all Arab countries and we’d have a two-state solution, how does that qualify Israel into the League? It is the Arab League where one has to be Arab and not just on good terms with Arabs to be in. Israel is not an Arab nation, any feelings do not change that; it is not a question of like or dislike but of fact that Israel can never be in the League. More to the Point: Israel would never want to be in the League, it is a chauvinistic Jewish state that, in case Bahrain has not notices, it actually not quite fond of Arabs and wants nothing to do with them. And yet Bahrain grovels to a nation that wants nothing to do with them.

And now here’s the second reason why he is a buffoon: Twitter. The man keeps a Twitter account and, as you may imagine, it is quite enlightening in its feeds. Here are some of the gems:

End of a full day. Started with a mind sharpening breakfast with Dennis Ross, followed by congress calls and DOD Yes, if you are as stupid as this dude then a conversation with Zionist-fanatic-moron Dennis Ross would be ‘mind sharpening’. This is akin to child considering George Bush to be smart because he knows the alphabet (I assume he does).

The Palestinian cause is on [sic] of the main reasons I am here in Washington. As always - This is a lie.

In Washington we don’t do brunch, we do power breakfasts ;) - Really? Is that what they eggs over a power-point in D.C.? Does he think he sounds like an ‘insider’ and smart? I feel sorry for him, it is sad when the puppet believes that he is seen as an equal by the master.

Held several meetings with congressional leaders including Senator Lieberman and ex congressman Waxler . Discussed issues of concern - These two are amongst the most fanatical Zionists on Capital Hill. By concern he means concern for Zionism (They do not view it like this, but they should be concerned).

Met today with General the national security advisor.. Discussed bilateral issues, ME, Iran, Yemen. We see eye to eye on key issues
- I bet they do.

And, finally, the man hates Jet lag:

On my way home after a long trip to UK and Washington . My only worry is jet lag

Isn’t that awful?
