Meet Eric Massa: Formerly a New York Congressman who resigned last week. Massa initially claimed that he was stepping down abruptly due to medical reasons and then it was reported that he was just using that pretext to cover up an ethnic probe.
Massa had sexually harassed one of his male staffers at a Washington party and even groped him and told him, according to the staffer, that “What I really ought to be doing is fracking you.”
Fracking? What the frack does the mean? I had to Google it and found this: Sanitized replacement for “Fuck” used on “Battlestar Galactica”
Jesus Christ! he is a weirdo. And now Massa is trying to cover up his public embarrassment with homosexual overtones (he’s a married man...to a woman) by going after the White House - with loudly! - and presenting himself as a martyr of an administration - and especially chief of staff - that is hell-bent to pass health care reform and is going after him because he does not want to support their plan.
Where to start? This is all bullshit. Massa is a liberal Democrat who voted against the House’s health care reform bill because...it was too liberal. And because he opposed the current plan, for the same reason, he is claiming that the White House sought to destroy him. There is neither logic nor proof in this. Massa is not the only NO voting Democrat, so why him? And why would the White House worried about Democrat elections later this November decide that the party is helped through the sex-scandal destruction of one of its own? And Massa has behaved like a complete buffoon pedaling this non-sense and he’s even attempted his crude behavior and sought to dismiss it as nothing more than Navy-esque ruff-housing:
Conservatives had hopes that the now-former Democratic congressman from Upstate New York, who resigned abruptly under an ethics cloud, would deliver the goods about corruption and strong-arm tactics in the Obama White House and Congress. But instead, Massa served up an icky new confession.
“Now they’re saying I groped a male staffer,” he volunteered. “Yeah, I did. Not only did I grope him, I tickled him until he couldn’t breathe and then four guys jumped on top of me. It was my 50th birthday.”
Beck looked aghast. “Was your wife at that one?” the Fox News host asked.
But Beck was unimpressed. He didn’t understand why Massa, if he had truly been wronged by the White House and Democratic leaders, would resign rather than stay and fight. “Bull crap, sir,” Beck said of Massa’s explanation.
It deteriorated from there. Massa suggested that Beck “stop calling fellow Americans names . . . socialist, communist, whatever the case may be.” He also told the conservative audience: “You can’t show up at a ‘tea party’ rally and claim that the entire budget deficit happened this year.”
And Massa had nothing to support his hints that Democratic leaders had made corrupt bargains and used thuggish tactics. “Name names,” Beck pleaded. “Show us where to throw the dirt.”
But no matter how many times he was asked — Anything new? Actionable stuff? “Anything specific? — Massa came up empty. “I don’t know how to be specific,” he said.
In the show’s waning minutes, Beck surrendered. “America, I’ve got to shoot straight with you,” he said, looking into the camera. “I think I’ve wasted your time. I think this is the first time I have wasted an hour of your time, and I apologize for that.”
Clearly, Massa is using the fabrication and distraction of a narrative of martyrdom in order to shield himself from his own scandal. What a phony! And a new Congressional low!
