Even in the bigoted halls of Congress, Senator Jon Kyl of Nevada, who is the second ranking Republican in the Senate as Minority Whip, is quite a standout.

Last week, he hosted infamous far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders - a man who has compared the Qur’an to Mein Kampf, called it to be banned, and an end to Muslim migration to Holland, and for Muslims currently living there to be paid to leave. Wilders had the “honor” of being hosted by Senator Kyl at taxpayers expense to screen his hateful film Fitna and to further attack Muslims. The event was hosted in the Senator’s prestigious LBJ room, and it was closed off to the public; an acknowledgment of the bad press Kyl sought to avoid.

Now Senator Kyl has something new to demonstrate his hatred for Muslims. The Senator is seeking to add an amendment [ S. Amdt. 629] to the annual appropriations bill that would seek to ensure that: “None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act may be available to resettle Palestinians from Gaza into the United States.”

Kyl actually wants the Senate to pass a resolution that would prohibit the United States from aiding Palestinians from Gaza immigrate to the United States. This resolution is a relic of the Nativist laws of the past that prevented Eastern Europeans, for instance, from immigrating to the United States. Nativist laws also prevented many Jews seeking refugee from the Holocaust into entering the United States. To purpose that one group of people, simply due to ethnicity, geography, religion or another other innate factor cannot move to the United States based solely on that criteria is nothing more than shameful bigotry.

What is ironic though, is that Kyl is actually going contrary to the wishes and goals of Israel and the Zionist movement. After all, the less Arabs in Occupied Palestinians the better it is for the Zionists. Kyl is working to obstruct that. For the record, Palestinians have no intention of living their countries [sure, some do immigrate] and will continue to stay there and grow and grow until one day all of Palestine from the River to the Sea is liberated. But Kyl’s action nonetheless run opposite official Israeli policy.

I guess Kyl hates the idea of Muslims living in America more than he loves Zion.

Not only is Kyl incredibly hateful, but he is also sad. This guy is akin to Hitler in Vienna when the soon-to-be tyrant would walk around the city obsessing over whether this or that person was a Jew. That is a miserable way to live. Kyl is obsessed with Muslims in America. So even though American Muslims are a very small minority [1% more of less of the United States], Kyl is so terrified of his delusion of a homegrown Jihad that he is taking precautionary measures to prevent more Muslims from coming into America. Not only is this view racist because it implies - nay states - that all Muslims are potential terrorists, but it is also maddening sick. There is no threat of an American Jihad. Even if all American Muslims supported Bin Ladin their numbers are too small to take over a single neighborhood. And yet Kyl probably wakes up in the middle of the night sweating over “the Muslims!”

I must say though, that makes me happy. If Kyl is so worried about Muslims, I am glad this bigot is driven into a frenzy. Living like that is awful, he must always be angry. The bigot has a way of punishing himself.
