North Korea Releases 2 U.S. JournalistsSeveral months back, the mentally insane government of North Korean leader Li’l Kim arrested two young U.S. journalists: Laura Ling, 32, and Euna Lee, 36.

This being North Korea their reason for their arrest was, of course, that they were engaging in espionage. Needless to day, these were two innocent reporters for CurrentTV who entered the country via China.

North Korea was once again demonstrating its erratic behavior and sought to use the two women as bargaining chips.

After months of detention - with secret negotiations - both journalists were released unharmed after fmr. President Clinton visited the court.

Li’l Kim issed them a “special pardon” that the state media called a sign of the nation’s “humanitarian and peaceloving [sic] policy.”

President Clinton’s visit was what finally secured their released after meeting with Kim Jong Il.

The United States and North Korea remain adversaries with continuing hostility over the latter’s nuclear weapons program. N. Korea is the most starved, paranoid and backward nation on the Earth. Its sole production is weapons, counterfeit cash and drugs. Millions have starved in the nation and several work camps are run. The nation has detonated nuclear weapons underground.
