Porsche’s announcement a while back that the sports car brand would be manufacturing a four-door car has started a trend. Aston Martin has followed suit and as Lamborghini.

These cars are produced with an eye toward the Asian market as the wealthy there prefer to be driven rather than drive themselves [those spoiled brats!].

The Porsche Panamera and the Aston Martin Rapide are both really nice, but not as nice as the Lamborghini Estoque.

Unfortunately, the Estoque is still a concept car. But the fact that Lamborghini have given it so much press time probably assures that the auto maker will unveil a four-door car at some point, and emphasize four-door because unlike the other two Lamborghini already has had a four-seat car.

The current (2009) range consists of the Murciélago LP640, the Murciélago LP640 Roadster and the smaller, less expensive Gallardo LP560/4 and Gallardo LP560/4 Spyder, after production of the Gallardo Superleggera ceased earlier this year. All are high-powered, mid-engined two-seaters. The Murciélago LP640, the Murciélago LP640 Roadster and the Gallardo LP560-4 come with Lamborghini’s standard four-wheel drive systems. Their styling is largely the work of Belgian designer Luc Donckerwolke.

The current head of design for Audi and Lamborghini is Wolfgang Egger.

At the 2008 Paris Motor Show Lamborghini revealed the Estoque Concept, a four-door sedan. There had been much speculation about eventual production of the Estoque,[7][8] but the management of Lamborghini has since stated that no decision has been made to manufacture the Estoque.
