You could not make this bigotry up:

The president of the European Jewish Congress on Monday waged a verbal attack against members of Hollywood, specifically the makers of Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

“I have seen two movies recently made by Jews in Hollywood,” said Dr. Moshe Kantor. “One was Valkyrie, which is a pro-Nazi film. The other is Slumdog Millionaire, which deals with the Muslim population in India, and in which one of the characters says, ‘Allahu Akhbar’ before dying.”

Listen to this bigot. But you have to understand his motive:

“This is strange in my opinion,” Kantor said at a press conference at the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Anti-Semitism and Racism at Tel Aviv University.

Kantor added that it is crucial for Jews to understand the educational value of cultural and artistic works.

“Schindler’s List was the [popular] movie at the end of the last century,” said Kantor. “What is the popular movie today? Slumdog Millionaire, which deals with Muslims. This reflects the fact that values in the world have changed.”

You see, he believes that only Jews should be humanized. Only Jews should be objects of support for sympathy in films. It is wrong for Hollywood to make a film where the lead characters are Muslims. It is not that he objects to films that portray Muslims...but films that have Muslims but do not portray them as hungry terrorists.

And he finds it so offensive that a Hollywood film would dare to include the words Allahu Akhbar in a non-offensive [to Muslims] manner. What is wrong with those words? Are Muslims words not meant to be heard? This guy really is scrapping the barrel.

Slumdog Millionaire showed that Muslims are just like other people. But this douch does not want that. O’ no, if Muslims are humanized in American eyes then may more and more American will start questioning their government’s unconditional support for Israeli crimes.

And notice how he cites the Holocaust film Schindler’s List. Films about the Holocaust are important and Schindler’s List is an incredible movie that all should see, but this guy wants to exploit the film. This is the practice of exploiting the suffering of the Holocaust so as to give Israel cover to commit its crimes against the innocent Palestinians.

“Values . . . have changes,” he laments because only a bigot would state that only one people [Jews] should be humanized in films and that it is beyond the pale that Hollywood [most of them, in fact, Jews] would make good films on Muslims. This is a new level of hate. And what is ridiculous is that he interpreters a Tom Cruise film about assassinating Hitler as “pro-Nazi”! This guy must be really paranoid. He must believe that the Gestapo has taken over Tinsel Town.

And, yes, values are changing in America. I say America, but that turn has already come about in Europe. And those changing values do not bode well for Israel and Zionism is the Jewish state does not make peace with the Palestinians.

Have they ever seen the Slum Dog Millionaire? It is not about Muslims in India but it highlights the plight of people living in the slum areas of India.

Jews never leave a chance of showing their hostility towards the Muslims. They can’t tolerate even a movie on Muslims. BTW Slum Dog Millionaire is not a Muslim oriented movie.

Actually, I rather liked it, even though it was another variation of ”Romeo & Juliet” in a different location and time– and with a happy ending, more or less.

Whether or not it deserved all the oscars it got is a matter for the film academy judges to decide.

It wasn’t important to me whether the main characters were Muslim or Hindi, what was important was the story.

OK, I don’t get it, I saw Slum Dog and I don’t remember any Jews being in it at all. So what did that guy have a bug up his butt about exactly?

I loved Slum Dog and I loved Schindler’s list. I still don’t know what one had to do with the other.

Enlighten me someone.
