California Democrat Jane Harman is one of those incredibly zealously hawkish pro-Israel members of Congress in a chamber full of pro-Israel hawks.

Naturally, Ms. Harman has voted for and co-sponsored every piece of legislation lobbied for by the Israel lobby. And, predictably, she was visited Israel several times to demonstrate her loyalty.
But Ms. Harman has done more than that. She has even worked with an Israeli agent. A while back, Ms. Harman was caught on a legal government wire trap telling an Israeli agent that she would lobby the White House to drop charges against two men charged with spying who worked for an Israeli lobby group. In return, she expected the agent - billionaire Israeli-American media mogul Haim Seban - to use his power with Speaker Pelosi to get Harman appointed chair of the House Intelligence Committee.
Harman is quite the lady. It is about someone challenged. A courageous women, Marcy Winograd, who is co-founded of LA Jews for Peace is doing just that. She ran against Harman in a Democratic party primary in 2006 and got 38% of the vote. She is running in 2010 again. Here is her press release against Harman:
Since 1967, the Israelis have demolished 24,000 homes in violation of international law.
Says Winograd, a co-founder of LA Jews for Peace, “I am for universal human rights – and the right to keep your home is considered sacred in Jewish tradition. The TALMUD a rabbinic collection of Jewish laws, recognizes that owning a home enhances dignity and self-worth. If we are to promote peace in the Middle East, we must heed Rachel Corrie’s message of non-violent resistance to human rights violations. I appreciate President Obama’s courageous call to action and support his efforts to begin a new peace initiative that holds both sides accountable to just principles.”
Winograd’s opponent in the 36th congressional district was previously investigated by the FBI for allegedly using her influence in Congress to get spying charges dropped against American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) analysts. Harman voted for resolutions in support of the Israeli siege of Gaza and invasion of Lebanon and was a featured speaker at the recent AIPAC conference.
“I’m not clear who Jane Harman represents in Congress – the people of her district or a right-wing faction in a foreign government?” says Winograd. “When elected to Congress, I will represent the people of this district and the interests of the United States.”
I can’t vote in California, and I am not a registered Democratic; but I’d vote for her.

This is clear cut case of treason. Harman should be prosecuted for treason and AIPAC should also be investigated for the same.
