For all the talk about ‘political Islam’, Israel is one of the few Middle Eastern nations that actually includes religious parties in its cabinets. And these religious parties are all Orthodox or Ultra-Orthodox with a fundamentalist vision for Israeli law and a militant hatred of Palestinians. The Shas party is one of the more ubiquitous groupings which manages to form alliances with both the left-wing and right-wing of Israeli-led cabinets. Shas has an ideology, but is attaches itself to any major bloc provided it is allowed to divert state resources into welfare payments for its constituents. And, ‘o yeah, they hate Palestinians:

“Abu Mazen and all these evil people should perish from this earth,” Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, spiritual head of the religious Shas party in Israel’s government, said in a sermon late on Saturday, using Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s popular name. “God should strike them and these Palestinians — evil haters of Israel — with a plague,” the 89-year-old rabbi said in his weekly address to the faithful, excerpts of which were broadcast on Israeli radio on Sunday.”

If an Islamic fundamentalist political party part of an Arab government cabinet, like say Hezbollah being a part of the Lebanese government, had made such comments about Jews the U.S. Congress would have passed a condemning resolution. But when it comes to Israel and bigoted hate against Arabs...

And Shas, of course, will not be excluded from the cabinet even though the leader of the cabinet, Benyamin Netanyahu, is about to enter direct negotiations with Abu Mazen. But when has hatred against Arabs ever disqualified someone from Israeli office? That would negate the whole Zionist project if that was a case, if anything such militantly voiced prejudice is not a campaign boost in Israel. And why shouldn’t be? After all, this is a country where even confessed murders of children go free:

“An Israeli army officer who fired the entire magazine of his automatic rifle into a 13-year-old Palestinian girl and then said he would have done the same even if she had been three years old was acquitted on all charges by a military court yesterday.”

Israel does not consider Palestinians to be human, so why bother?

And, finally, the Zionist state does not think that Israelis are Zionist enough. You see, there is the pesky problem with the history book used in schools. Apparently they have this thing called “criticism of the state” in their pages. And that can’t do:

“The Education Ministry is rewriting the country’s main civics textbook, and the chairman of the ministry’s pedagogical secretariat will begin publishing updates on the ministry’s Web site as early as the upcoming school year. The main contention of the chairman - Zvi Zameret - is that the textbook dwells too much on criticism of the state, sources in the Education Ministry who took part with Zameret in discussions on the book told Haaretz.”

You must believe that Zionist lie that Palestine was a barren land without people when the European Jews came ‘to make the desert bloom’, that it is the Arabs who ‘want to push the Jews into the sea’ but the Jews have never pushed anyone out of their homes, and, ‘o yeah, the Arabs are the new Nazis and their mufti was more central than Hitler in the Holocaust.

If you want more apartheid, and it appears to be reaching its final days, please write your member of Congress and plead with them to increase aid to Israel in order to further the longevity of the Apartheid State.
